Dieu's Crew
Madieu and the Madieu Williams Foundation successfully launch their first year of the Dieu’s Crew program in Minneapolis, MN.
This past season the Madieu Williams Foundation launched the first ever Dieu’s Crew program. The program reaches out to 20 eighth grade students and teaches them life skills. Madieu met with the 20 kids every Monday during the season and would go over different important life skills topics from the importance of college education, to peer pressure to being nutritious. Each Monday a different speaker would come in and talk to the kids on the topic from that week. The kids also were able to go on different field trips to open their eyes to different possibilities. The kids visited the Vikings facilities, General Mills Campus, the University of Minneapolis and even participated in a community service activity. Madieu rewarded the kids who participated by giving them tickets to his games and having them as his guest on the sidelines before the game. Thanks to the generous support by General Mills, Minnesota Vikings and the North Minneapolis YMCA, the Madieu Williams Foundation will hopefully be able to continue this program for years to come.
