International projects include the building of the Abigail D. Butscher Primary School in Calabatown, Sierra Leone and annual mission trips to Sierra Leone which provide educational, medical and dental services. Most recently Madieu has teamed up with engineering students at University of Maryland for an exciting project to build solar panels and bring electricity to the people of Calabatown, Sierra Leone in 2012.
Stateside, Madieu sponsors an annual football clinic in his hometown of Maryland, facilitated free health screening, built a playground and in September of 2011 introduced “Deiu’s Crew” to the students of Hyattsville Elementary.
The mission of this program is to implement an afterschool program in the Prince Georges County Public School System focusing on three areas; Health (Physical Activity), Education, and Life Skills for students in 3rd-6th grade.
The Madieu Williams Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life and perpetuates the advance of capabilities to help people live better lives in 2012 and beyond.
